Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking an experienced electrical engineer for the Spent Fuel Handling Recapitalization Project (SFHP) on the Construction Field Engineering team. You will support electrical tasks, perform design reviews, system walkdowns, and subcontractor requirement reviews as the NSFH facility moves through design, construction, installation, commissioning and turnover.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Doctorate in a related field.
  • Current Advanced Reactor Training/Refueling/RPCO Engineer at the Company.

Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical engineering support during construction of the NSFH facility.
  • Perform design reviews, system walkdowns and subcontractor requirement reviews.
  • Learn facility electrical design and provide contractor oversight through design, construction, installation, commissioning and turnover.
  • Complete engineering tasks independently and collaborate with diverse teams; potential to lead small teams.
