The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking a Mid-Level Project Analyst to join the Facility Planning & Controls Unit, supporting the Spent Fuel Handling major construction project. The role administers the SFHP project management processes, schedules, risk, and performance measurement tools, and coordinates with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience or a master's with 4+ years, and proficiency with Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams, and Power BI.

  • Provide support to new and existing contracts and programs.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders across sites.

Job Description

We are looking for a Mid-Level Project Analyst to join our team in the Facility Planning & Controls Unit assisting in the project management of the Spent Fuel Handling major construction project at the Naval Reactors Facility.
As part of a cross-site team, the successful candidate will administer and maintain the existing SFHP project management processes, tools and systems to include the Integrated Master Schedule, Open Items, Earned Value Management Software, Risk & Opportunity Management, Management Reserve and other performance measurement tools.
Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following: generate reports and analyze data, assess contract or project performance, coordinate, support and facilitate project / process meetings, support the preparation & presentation of periodic reviews with management and stakeholders, recommend resources or skills needed to supplement project core team, provide support to new and existing contracts, projects and programs, and coordinate, with stakeholders.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; or
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills
  • Experienced in Microsoft Excel, Word, Share Point, Teams and Power BI software
  • Experience with construction projects and / or production support operations

Pay Range

$78,700.00 - $120,500.00 annually
Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation. Naval Nuclear Laboratory personnel are FMP employees who work at four DOE facilities: Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Kenneth A. Kesselring Site, and Naval Reactors Facility, and at the U.S. Department of Defense-owned Nuclear Power Training Unit-Charleston. FMP employees also have an established presence at numerous shipyards and vendor locations. For nearly 70 years, the Naval Nuclear Laboratory has developed advanced nuclear propulsion technology, provided technical support, and trained world-class nuclear operators to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our nation's submarine and aircraft carrier Fleets. The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is a national asset solely dedicated to the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.
