Job summary

The role involves creating customer- and factory-ready drawings (schematics, BOMs, layouts, wiring and one-line drawings), owning end-to-end deliverables, and collaborating with Application, Project and Mechanical Engineers, with FAT support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 1+ years of experience designing or drafting electrical power distribution products.
• Strong knowledge of medium‑voltage protection and control systems and the ability to apply and communicate that knowledge effectively.
• Hands-on experience with drafting tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, E‑Plan, Engineering Base, ELCAD or similar.
• Willingness to travel internationally, including trips to Germany.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Electrical Engineering point of contact for Siemens Medium Voltage switchgear products (SIEBREAK, SIEBREAK VCB, 8DJH36).
• Independently create customer- and factory-ready electrical design documentation (schematics, BOMs, layouts, wiring, one-line drawings).
• Own end-to-end electrical deliverables, ensuring designs meet customer requirements, manufacturing needs and Siemens quality standards.
• Collaborate with Application, Project, and Mechanical Engineers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide factory and FAT support, acting as a quality gate prior to release and resolving technical questions during manufacturing and customer acceptance.
