Job summary

Delta Electronics Americas is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Plymouth Microgrid team. You will design, commission, and run the microgrid projects, working with global teams to advance market-ready solutions for BESS and PV hybrids.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical design within energy storage or utility-scale projects, on-site work in the Detroit area, and US work authorization. You will engage in testing, documentation, and interconnection activities to ensure reliable grid

Qualifications

5+ years of electrical design experience in BESS, microgrid, utility-scale PV, industrial power, or substation engineering.
Senior candidates: 8+ years of experience in a related field.
Ability to read and produce single-line diagrams, control schematics, and cable schedules.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Design, commission and run Delta’s Plymouth Microgrid with a global team.
Program and diagnose the system using Schweitzer and Schneider meters and systems.
Plan, run and document tests to advance microgrid readiness for market.
Document issues and resolutions; develop and validate system models.
Coordinate with controls team on IEC 61850 GOOSE/MMS mapping and PCC metering.
Develop protection schemes and ensure anti-islanding and ride-through per standards.
