Job summary

HighRes is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design reliable, cost-effective electronics for our next generation of laboratory automation and robotic systems. You will work on system-level electrical design, wiring diagrams, and cable assemblies, collaborating with suppliers and customers to bring innovative products to life.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with at least two years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience designing analog and digital circuitry, including schematic capture.
• Basic understanding of motion control systems (motors, encoders, pneumatics).
• Familiarity with safety-related components including circuit breakers, PLCs, E-Stop.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and debug electrical systems for lab automation products.
• Create schematics, design electrical system wiring diagrams, and perform component selection.
• Build and test prototypes including electrical sub-assemblies, cables, and supporting hardware.
• Generate design documentation such as test plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Participate in design and technical reviews.
• Manage product development timelines.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams for requirements gathering, testing, and validation.
