As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be the technical cornerstone for the design, development, and optimization of complex electrical systems. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will apply advanced engineering principles to build the next generation of semiconductor capital equipment. You won’t just be designing circuits; you’ll be orchestrating project timelines, mentoring the next wave of engineering talent, and ensuring our solutions are scalable, reliable, and world-class.
You will act as the bridge between Product Management, Supply Chain, and Operations, translating high-level requirements into manufacturable realities that meet global cost and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- System Design & Innovation: Lead the design and modification of electrical assemblies, schematics, and high-level specifications for multi-axis motion and wafer-handling systems.
- Controls Integration: Develop and integrate sophisticated controls for robotics, ensuring seamless precision in automation.
- Technical Problem Solving: Troubleshoot complex electrical issues within both R&D and high-volume production environments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Systems, Mechanical, and Software teams to define hardware architecture and develop integrated subsystems.
- Validation & Documentation: Define, execute, and document rigorous engineering tests to validate performance. Generate full engineering packages to ensure a seamless transition to mass production.
- Lifecycle Management: Characterize components and prototype control systems to solve "impossible" engineering hurdles, while managing the ECR/ECO process via PLM/ERP systems.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience: BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years of hands-on experience in complex hardware environments.
- Domain Expertise: Proven track record with Robotics and Wafer Handling systems.
- Industrial Automation: Deep proficiency in industrial control and communication protocols (e.g., PLC, EtherCAT).
- Design Tools: Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
- Standards & Compliance: Thorough knowledge of global safety and design standards, including UL/CSA/FCC and SEMI standards (S2, S8, F47, CE).
- Professional Skills: A team-oriented mindset with the ability to communicate technical complexities to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Direct experience in the Semiconductor Capital Equipment industry.
- Advanced expertise in industrial power systems, including transformer selection, grounding strategies, and fault protection schemes.
