Job summary

Persona AI Inc is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design space- and performance-constrained electronics for humanoid robots used in heavy industry. The role covers architecture, schematic, PCB layout, and rapid bring-up within tight electromechanical envelopes alongside motors and sensors.

You will collaborate with firmware and software to ensure boards enable the control stack, and you’ll bring expertise in high-density, high-speed electronics for robot platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience designing and shipping production electronics.
• Experience designing and bringing up highly integrated PCBAs and rigid-flex assemblies.
• Proficiency with ECAD tools (KiCAD, Altium, Cadence Allegro).
• Solid fundamentals in mixed-signal design and power electronics.
• Experience with high-speed and embedded communication protocols (EtherCAT, CAN-FD, SPI, I2C, USB, Ethernet).
• Experience with chip-scale packaging (BGA, WLCSP) and HDI techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design and support hardware architecture of tightly integrated PCBAs and rigid-flex circuits.
• Push density via component selection, stackups, and layout for power, sensors, and compute subsystems.
• Co-design with mechanical engineers for 3D routing and connector placement.
• Support mixed-signal subsystems across analog sensing, power delivery, and high-speed digital.
• Contribute to signal and power integrity, EMI/EMC-aware layout.
• Bring up boards through debugging and data-driven layout validation.
• Collaborate with EMS partners and fab houses on DFM/DFT and ramp.
• Follow conventions for scalable schematic, library, and layout.
