Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting's client, a respected engineering firm in Houston, seeks an Engineer IV, Electrical to lead complex electrical projects and mentor junior engineers. The role requires a strong background in power distribution, lighting, grounding, and controls, with a focus on quality and client satisfaction.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of experience, proficiency in AutoCAD/REVIT/SKM and related tools, and a PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is required.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, REVIT, and electrical design software (SKM, AGI, Visual).
Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning, design, and analysis of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and controls.
Produce and review engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and construction documents ensuring NEC/IEEE compliance and local codes.
Mentor and support junior engineers and designers.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Support project planning, risk management, and business development with technical input.
