Goodwin Recruiting is seeking an experienced Engineer V, Electrical in Houston to lead the electrical engineering team and oversee the design and implementation of electrical systems for oil and gas projects.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 10+ years in the field, and PE licensure is preferred. You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders, ensure compliance with industry codes, and guide engineering phases from design through commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred.
• Deep knowledge of electrical engineering principles and industry codes.
• Proficiency with electrical engineering software and technical drawing interpretation.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills in English, both written and verbal.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage the electrical engineering team, providing technical expertise and guidance.
• Oversee equipment sizing, selection, and alternative analyses for projects.
• Support engineering phases including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Communicate project plans, status, and deliverables to internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
• Monitor project scope, schedule, and budgets while identifying and managing changes.
• Prepare, review, and approve technical documents such as calculations, specifications, and BOMs.
• Contribute to strategic decisions affecting the engineering function, working independently when needed.
