Job summary

P2S invites Electrical Engineering students to a Summer Internship. You will join the Electrical Engineering team, gaining hands-on experience in office and field settings and contributing to client projects.

The program lasts 10–12 weeks, starting in June and ending in August–September, with an in-office schedule from Monday to Friday at locations including Long Beach, Irvine, San Diego, and Seattle.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university majoring in Electrical Engineering.
• Familiarity with Revit or AutoCAD is a plus.
• FE/EIT is a plus; knowledge of CAD/BIM standards preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-engagement environment with a detail-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist the engineering team in executing ongoing projects.
• Contribute to design and prototyping activities and create/modify drawings.
• Participate in testing to verify functionality and reliability of solutions.
• Maintain project documentation and generate progress reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in meetings.
• Engage in training sessions to develop technical skills.

Hourly: $24.00 Undergraduate / $26.00 Graduate

Internship Program

The internship program aims to offer a positive work/training experience aligned with career goals and education level. Interns will be part of the Electrical Engineering team, gaining hands-on experience in office and field settings and actively contributing to client projects. The program emphasizes real-world industry exposure, including visits to project sites and internal training opportunities, fostering a unique learning experience and encouraging participation in company events.

Schedule

The Summer Internship lasts 10-12 weeks, starting in June and ending in August - September, depending on the candidate's availability.

Responsibilities

Project Support:

• Assist the engineering team in the execution of ongoing projects.
• Conduct research and analysis to contribute to project development.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.

Design and Prototyping:

• Contribute to the design process by creating and modifying engineering drawings.
• Participate in prototyping activities to test and validate design concepts.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

• Assist in conducting tests to ensure the functionality and reliability of engineering solutions.
• Work closely with quality assurance teams to identify and address potential issues.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
• Generate reports and summaries to communicate project progress.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Participate in team meetings, providing valuable insights and feedback.

Learning and Development:

• Engage in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills.
• Seek opportunities for continuous learning and development within the engineering field.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university majoring in Electrical Engineering.
• Training in Revit and/or AutoCAD is a plus
• FE/EIT is a plus
• Trained to utilize CAD/BIM standards
• Ability to work effectively in a highly energetic and multiple-engagement environment, dedication to teamwork, a strong work initiative, and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas; detail-oriented
