Kiewit Industrial & Water Engineering is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern based in Lenexa, KS. The role involves establishing and applying company standards, using design tools, and contributing to project success with a growth mindset.

The internship supports the Design Engineering department within the Industrial market. Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited), with a GPA above 3.0 preferred, and strong communication skills for

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
GPA above 3.0 preferred.
Must be able to represent Kiewit to owners, contractors, vendors and any other contacts outside the Kiewit organization.
Must be able to communicate through emails, phone, and in-person, and utilize electronic meeting requests.
Must have a working knowledge of spreadsheets, databases and PDF software.

Responsibilities

Reports project progress updates to Lead Engineer as required.
Applies engineering judgment to daily tasks.
Works with a multi-discipline team to review client needs and contribute to design decisions.
Reviews vendor and discipline drawings for electrical information.
Develops sketches to accompany concept documentation.
Maintains master specifications and drawing sets with current revisions.
