Job summary

Dennis Group is seeking a student intern for the Building Electrical Group in Springfield, MA. You will design electrical systems for industrial facilities, perform power calculations, and assist with bid documents and procurement.

The role requires a 3.0+ GPA, familiarity with NEC, and the ability to travel up to 25% to project sites. AutoCAD or Revit experience is a plus as you support multiple concurrent projects.

Qualifications

• Sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• GPA: 3.0 or above.
• Familiarity with three phase power, the National Electric Code, wireless radio systems, fiber or LAN cabling is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to project sites.
• Familiarity AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for building power, including lighting and low voltage systems for industrial facilities.
• Document calculations such as short circuit, voltage drop, and conductor sizing.
• Maintain project document organization and assist with procurement.
