GEM Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer for the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The role emphasizes electrical design and analysis of industrial power systems up to 480V, with requirements for U.S.

citizenship and ability to obtain a government clearance. The successful candidate will perform design, reviews, and field evaluations for existing facilities and new construction, ensuring code compliance and reliable power distribution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with Industrial Power background and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• U.S. citizen required due to federal nature of work.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance if needed.
• Experience with electrical system design, reviews, and design recovery for facilities and new projects.
• Strong experience with industrial power distribution systems, including mainline primary power.

• Conduct technical research and develop effective solutions.
• Analyze engineering data and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Research technical requirements and develop practical design solutions.
• Independently evaluate complex issues and provide engineering recommendations.
