Job summary
Urschel, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and support electrical control systems and power circuitry for industrial food processing equipment. This onsite position reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager and is based at our corporate headquarters in Chesterton, Indiana.
The qualified candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology and experience with industrial controls, machine automation,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology is required or preferred.
- Experience with industrial controls and machine automation.
- Proficiency with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical control systems and power circuitry for industrial food processing equipment.
- Develop electrical schematics, drawings, CAD models, bills of materials, and related technical documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers throughout the design and production process.
- Support machine testing, troubleshooting, and technical problem resolution for internal teams and customers.
- Ensure designs meet safety, quality, regulatory, and performance requirements.
