Job summary

Dauch is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to join our Rochester, Indiana team. This is a hands-on, fully onsite role focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems across manufacturing operations.

You will work with Siemens/Allen‑Bradley PLCs, Fanuc robotics, and HMI/SCADA systems, ensuring safety and data integrity while collaborating with maintenance and production teams. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to manage multiple complex projects with

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
Minimum 5+ years in industrial automation controls.
Robotics familiarity with Fanuc/ABB.
Hands-on PLC programming with Siemens/Allen-Bradley.

Responsibilities

Designs and recommends control system architecture for manufacturing processes.
Evaluates new automation technologies and incorporates them into specs.
Verifies control system functionality and safety compliance via test procedures.
Prepares electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings; coordinates with teams.
Ensures data integrity and maintains project documents.
Provides support to manufacturing, process, maintenance, and other engineering disciplines.
Performs audits, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance planning.
Manages supplier development and delivery.
Works on multiple complex projects with minimal guidance.
Identifies improvement areas in current operating system.
All other duties as assigned.
