Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college/university.
• 4–8 years engineering/design experience in building design (power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, etc.).
• Expertise in engineering design software and CAD (AutoCAD/Revit).
• Thorough knowledge of electrical system design and applicable codes.
• Experience with software for electrical calculations (SKM, EasyPower, AmpCALC, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Lead with design computations and cost estimates.
• Possess project lead responsibilities for less complex projects.
• Prepare engineering drawings and design documents with CAD software.
• Prepare reports, specifications, and support construction efforts.
• Research design options and document findings for the Project Lead.
• Communicate workload changes to the Project Lead/Manager.
• Perform calculations such as load, voltage drop, and short-circuit analyses.
