Job summary

Hunt Electric Corporation, based in Minnesota, seeks an Engineer 3 in the Commercial Division to perform advanced electrical design and BIM coordination on varied projects. You will design complex electrical drawings in Revit and develop 3D/BIM models under PMs and division leadership.

Candidate must hold a PE license with 10 years of electrical engineering experience, strong communication, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure and 10 years of engineering experience.
  • Advanced 3D/BIM modeling experience using Revit.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create complex electrical drawings for electrical construction within Revit on a variety of projects under the direction of project managers, general foremen and Engineering Division Manager.
  • Create coordinated 3D/BIM models specifically for the electrical installation with the assistance of field management.

Job Description Summary The Engineer 3 - Commercial Division provides advanced level electrical design and Building Information Modeling coordination on a wide variety of complex electrical design projects. The Engineer 3 will interact and collaborate within the Design-Engineering department, various departments within the company, and other partners outside of the company.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Create complex electrical drawings for electrical construction within Revit on a variety of projects under the direction of project managers, general foremen and Engineering Division Manager.
  • Create coordinated 3D/BIM models specifically for the electrical installation with the assistance of field management.
  • Create installation drawings from the 3D/BIM models.
  • Facilitate finished product with external customers and industry professionals.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) licensure and 10 years of engineering experience.
  • Advanced 3D/BIM modeling experience using Revit.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn new ideas and concepts.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Minimum 5 years related electrical design/modeling experience.

Physical Requirements
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers and fax machines.

Pay Range: $112,640.00 - $163,840.00 Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
