Job summary

CEL Critical Power is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design LV switchgear and related electrical systems, ensuring compliance with UL standards and NEC. The role involves creating detailed schematics, GA drawings, BOMs, and coordinating with mechanical, project management, and production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The candidate will leverage EPLAN and other CAD tools to translate client specifications into compliant, high‑quality designs while supporting FAT

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in LV switchgear design.
• Proficiency with EPLAN and electrical CAD.
• Experience ensuring compliance with UL standards and NEC.

Responsibilities

• Design LV switchgear assemblies and schematics per client specifications.
• Create GA drawings in coordination with Mechanical Design.
• Select and size components (ACBs, MCCBs, relays, busbars).
• Perform fault level, load, and cable sizing calculations.
• Maintain BOMs and support FAT procedures.
