Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation is seeking an Engineer II or Engineer III to join the PMC Design Engineering - Electrical team. The preferred base is Duke Energy Plaza in Charlotte, NC, with consideration for other Carolina locations.

Relocation assistance is available depending on location. The role supports major project phases from scoping through turnover, providing engineering oversight, design reviews, and performance testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program; master’s may substitute.
• Engineer II requires minimum 2 years of engineering experience.
• Engineer III requires BS in Engineering or Professional Engineer license; 4+ years of experience.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Support development phase of major project scope and EPC bid package documentation.
• Support interconnection design and agreements for development-stage projects and ensure documentation aligns with interconnection scope.
• Assist in cost estimating, scheduling, risk analysis, bid evaluation, and contract development.
• Provide engineering oversight to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.
• Participate in design reviews, drawings reviews, construction support, RFIs, commissioning and warranty support.
