Job description

A mid-level, hands-on Electrical Engineer responsible for contributing to electrical engineering activities within an innovative energy technology environment. Reporting to senior electrical engineering leadership, this individual will support electrical system development, product engineering initiatives, systems integration efforts, testing programs, technical documentation, and deployment of advanced technologies for customer applications.

This position is centered on product-focused engineering, technical execution, and collaboration across multiple engineering disciplines in support of first-of-a-kind technology programs, rather than traditional site-based engineering projects. The successful candidate will be expected to independently manage defined engineering tasks while seeking guidance on complex system architecture, strategic technical direction, and higher-risk engineering decisions.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Relevant experience within electrical engineering.
  • Practical experience supporting electrical design, analysis, documentation, integration, testing, or troubleshooting activities.
  • Experience working with electrical systems in industries such as power generation, advanced energy, industrial manufacturing, aerospace, defense, automotive, oil and gas, EPC/EPCM, or similar technical sectors.
  • Understanding of engineering quality systems, safety principles, configuration management, and controlled document environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute assigned technical responsibilities independently while collaborating effectively with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
Functional Scope
  • Contribute directly to electrical engineering activities supporting product development, integration efforts, testing programs, and deployment initiatives.
  • Assist with the preparation of electrical system designs, engineering requirements, technical specifications, and associated documentation.
  • Support development and integration of AC and DC power distribution solutions designed for reliable and safe operation.
  • Establish and document electrical interfaces connecting equipment, subsystems, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Generate and maintain electrical schematics, calculations, drawings, specifications, and controlled engineering records.
  • Assist with the integration of instrumentation, automation, monitoring, and control-related electrical interfaces.
  • Participate in testing, fault investigation, validation activities, startup support, and technical issue resolution for assigned systems.
  • Follow configuration management processes, engineering change practices, and document control requirements to preserve design integrity.
