Core Responsibilities
- Provide engineering input into the purchase, modification, and improvement of equipment.
- Represent the Electrical discipline on cross‑functional project teams and manage cost, schedule, and performance for electrical project components.
- Perform standard engineering and design work related to equipment installation and retrofits.
- Deliver day‑to‑day troubleshooting support for facility power systems and production equipment.
- Write purchase orders and non‑stock requests for project needs.
- Support and guide Electrical Technicians with technical troubleshooting and wiring issues.
- Apply engineering discipline training to equipment design, fabrication, and improvement initiatives.
- Oversee outside consultants, contractors, and material suppliers for electrical‑related tasks.
- Utilize CAD (3D preferred), MS Office, and engineering design software for layouts, drawings, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and standards such as IEEE and NEC.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred).
- 3+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting facility power systems.
- Strong knowledge of industrial controls wiring, industrial networks, and Level II control systems.
- Working knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, MCCs, low‑voltage distribution, drive systems, and industrial control technologies.
- Experience supporting technicians, managing project tasks, and coordinating field work.
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems (preferred).
- Proficiency in CAD (3D preferred), MS Office, and engineering design tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; highly organized with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Ability to work independently on larger assignments and thrive in a fast‑paced, production‑oriented environment.
- Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and design skills.
