Job summary

Old Dominion Electric Cooperative is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide support for transmission and generation systems from Glen Allen, VA. You will assist senior engineers, perform basic analyses, and help coordinate field inspections, testing, and project documentation.

The role requires a BSEE, strong communication, and the ability to work with contractors and internal teams in a high-voltage environment.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of design drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assist other engineers with technical support.
• Investigate engineering issues, perform basic analysis, and support development of solutions and recommendations.
• Assist with electrical equipment testing programs, including data collection and basic analysis.
• Support trending and evaluation of equipment performance data.
• Assist with development and documentation of technical recommendations.
• Provide field and project support in transmission and generation environments.
• Review engineering consultant designs, estimates, and technical documentation.
• Participate in bid evaluations and procurement support activities.
• Gain familiarity with project lifecycle phases from conceptual engineering to construction support.
• Support NERC compliance efforts by assisting with documentation, reviews, and audits.
