Job summary

Old Dominion Electric Cooperative (ODEC) is seeking a detail-oriented engineer to support combustion turbine and diesel power plant operations, regulatory compliance, and engineering support for generation assets in Glen Allen, VA.

The role focuses on monitoring performance, preparing reports for NERC, PJM, and DOE, and providing technical support across maintenance, inspections, and project activities. Travel to sites is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of engineering experience in power generation or industrial operations.
• Minimum one year of experience in project engineering and/or project management.
• Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements and compliance standards for power generation facilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, compile, and submit regulatory and operational reports to agencies such as NERC, PJM, and DOE.
• Monitor plant performance, analyze data, and support maintenance and inspections.
• Coordinate engineering projects and provide SME input for compliance standards.
• Assist EH&S audits and regulatory inspections as needed.
• Maintain documentation and prepare technical analyses for leadership.
