Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Electrical Engineer to contribute to electrical design for power plants and industrial facilities. The role involves developing and analyzing power systems, preparing diagrams, calculations, and specifications in collaboration with a project team.

The position offers a hybrid work model with in-office presence three days per week, opportunities for travel to client sites, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• A BS in Electrical Engineering is required with power systems emphasis preferred.
• Familiarity with electrical system design including medium and low voltage distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Work with project team to design and analyze electrical systems for power plants and industrial facilities.
• Prepare single line diagrams, schematics, and 3-D modeling inputs.
• Develop calculations: voltage drop, arc flash, and protective relay settings.
• Coordinate with vendors for material specs and BOMs.
• Travel to client sites for design reviews and site verification.
• Support design reviews and ensure compliance with codes and specs.
