Job summary

Technology Service Corporation in Bloomington, IN seeks an Electrical Engineer to support NSWC Crane. The engineer will dissect naval systems, document components, and develop repeatable processes for sustainment and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities include BOM development, hardware testing procedures, and collaboration with government stakeholders to inform repairs, modernization, and lifecycle support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering (0+ years with internship/co‑op experience or a Master's degree).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, remove, and categorize internal hardware components and subassemblies.
  • Analyze system architecture, interconnects, signal paths, and functional hardware blocks.
  • Develop comprehensive BOMs and parts lists for each system.
  • Document hardware configurations, component specifications, cabling, connectors, and assemblies.
  • Produce engineering documentation that aligns with NSWC Crane standards and Navy technical requirements.
  • Design and write detailed hardware test procedures for system evaluation, functional testing, and component verification.
  • Collaborate with test engineers and technicians to validate procedures.
  • Support creation of acceptance test plans, diagnostic processes, and troubleshooting workflows.
  • Provide hardware-focused engineering recommendations for repair, modification, or lifecycle support.
  • Support failure analysis activities and assist in root-cause investigations.
  • Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, and program discussions with government stakeholders.
