Job summary

Technology Service Corporation (TSC) seeks an Electrical Engineer based in Bloomington, IN to support NSWC Crane programs. The engineer will dissect complex naval hardware, document component details, and craft repeatable processes for sustainment and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities include BOM creation, hardware documentation, test procedure design, and collaboration with test engineers. A Secret DoD clearance is required or ability to obtain it; internship is acceptable for some

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering or related field; 0+ years or Master's degree acceptable.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, remove, and categorize internal hardware components and subassemblies.
  • Analyze system architecture, interconnects, signal paths, and functional hardware blocks.
  • Develop comprehensive BOMs and parts lists for each system.
  • Document hardware configurations, component specifications, cabling, connectors, and assemblies.
  • Produce engineering documentation aligned with NSWC Crane standards and Navy requirements.
  • Design and write detailed hardware test procedures for evaluation and verification.
  • Collaborate with test engineers to validate procedures.
  • Support creation of acceptance test plans and troubleshooting workflows.
  • Provide hardware-focused recommendations for repair, modification, or lifecycle support.
  • Assist in failure analysis and root-cause investigations.
  • Participate in design reviews with government stakeholders.
