Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group, a global engineering firm, is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineering I. The role offers exposure to world-class projects, hands-on CAD/BIM drafting, and an Engineer Development Program (EDT). You will support senior engineers, learn standards, and contribute to diverse MEP and architecture projects.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with a Winter 2026 to Spring/Summer 2027 graduation and possess E.I.T. or FE certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Electrical engineering, or Architectural Engineering with graduation date between Winter 2026 and Summer 2027.
• E.I.T. or FE required.
• Knowledge of MEP AutoCAD; REVIT experience a plus.
• Previous engineering internship preferred.
• Proficient in design and calculation software; MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Create basic designs under the direction of the senior engineer and/or senior designer.
• Learn drawing organization and company standards.
• Perform CAD/BIM drafting for a variety of projects and project sizes.
• Coordinate with the designs of other trades under guidance of more senior staff.
• Support design and engineering efforts for new installations, retrofits, and upgrades.
• Take ownership of completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of work assignments.
• Assist engineers with field investigations and site visits.
• Attend EDT program training sessions and related activities.
• Participate in Engineering Development Training seminars.
