Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group is seeking an entry level Electrical Engineering Graduate in Charlotte, NC to join our EDT program. You will support our engineering teams by drafting, learning company standards, and coordinating multi-trade designs under supervision.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with a Winter 2026 to Summer 2027 graduation window, and may have EIT/FE, REVIT, and CAD/BIM experience. We offer growth, mentorship, and a collaborative, diverse environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in electrical engineering with a graduation date in Winter 2026, Spring or Summer 2027.
• Knowledge of the latest version of MEP AutoCAD; REVIT experience is a plus.
• Proficient in design and calculation software; MS Office Suite.
• E.I.T. or FE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create basic designs under the direction of the senior engineer and/or senior designer.
• Learn drawing organization and company standards.
• Perform CAD/BIM-drafting for a variety of projects and project sizes.
• Coordinate with designs of other trades under guidance of senior staff.
• Support design and engineering for new installations, retrofits, replacements and upgrades.
• Take ownership of completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of assignments.
• Assist engineers with field investigations and construction site visits.
• Participate in EDT program training sessions and related activities.
• Attend Engineering Development Program continuing education seminars.
