Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group, a global engineering and commissioning firm, is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineering Graduate in the Richmond area. You will support design teams, contribute to MEP projects, and learn CAD/BIM drafting under senior engineers.

Through our Engineer Development Program (EDT), you will gain hands-on experience, participate in training seminars, and have opportunities to pursue FE/EIT credentials while building your career at Syska Hennessy.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering with graduation date Winter 2026, Spring or Summer of 2027.
Knowledge of the latest version of MEP AutoCAD; REVIT experience is a plus.
Proficient in design and calculation software; MS Office Suite
FE and EIT preferred.

Responsibilities

Create basic designs under the direction of the senior engineer and/or senior designer.
Learn drawing organization and company standards.
Perform CAD/BIM-drafting for a variety of projects and project sizes.
Coordinate with the designs of other trades under guidance of senior staff.
Support design and engineering efforts for new installations, retrofits, replacements, and upgrades.
Take ownership of completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of work assignments.
Assist engineers with field investigations and construction site visits.
Attend EDT program training sessions and related activities.
Participate in Engineering Development Training seminars.
