Job summary

Hargrove & Associates Inc. in Mobile, AL seeks an Electrical Engineer I to perform routine design tasks under supervision, developing layouts, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts for electrical/instrumentation projects.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, familiarity with NEC, CAD drafting standards, and strong communication skills. EIT preferred; opportunity to contribute to cost studies and on-site startup support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) registration strongly preferred.
• Up to 1 year of relevant industrial electrical/instrumentation engineering experience.
• Knowledge of NEC and CAD drafting standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine design of less complex engineering assignments under direct supervision.
• Produce installation details, motor control center layouts, and electrical room layouts.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies for efficient solutions.
• Conduct on-site startup support and vendor drawing reviews.
• Collaborate with design leaders and cross-discipline teams to ensure timely project completion.
