Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer to assist in designing electrical and instrumentation systems. You will contribute to motor control center layouts, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules under supervision, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes familiarity with NEC, CAD standards, and lighting calculations, with growth toward independent design tasks and client delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
• EIT registration strongly preferred.
• Up to 1 year relevant industrial electrical/instrumentation experience.
• Knowledge of NEC and CAD drafting standards.
• Ability to perform lighting level and voltage drop calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine design of less complex electrical/instrumentation tasks.
• Produce motor control center layouts, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules.
• Assist drafting group with layout and detailing problems.
• Coordinate with design leaders across disciplines.
• Review vendor drawings for electrical input.
