Job summary

Hargrove and Associates, Inc is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer to design and draft electrical/instrumentation layouts under supervision. You will produce detailed drawings, perform calculations, and support startup activities on-site.

Collaboration with design leaders will ensure timely project completion. The ideal candidate holds a BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, may have EIT registration, and has up to 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• EIT registration strongly preferred.
• Up to 1 year of relevant industrial electrical/instrumentation experience.
• Knowledge and application of the NEC and CAD drafting standards.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine design of less complex electrical/instrumentation assignments under direct supervision.
• Produce installation details, single lines, room layouts and wiring diagrams under general supervision.
• Produce estimate level preliminary designs and material take-offs for project estimates.
• Coordinate with design leaders to ensure smooth information flow for project completion.
• Review vendor drawings and other discipline drawings for electrical/instrumentation input.
