Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking a new grad Electrical Engineer I for the Computing Products Department in Avionics. This onsite role focuses on developing digital hardware for high-performance computing products, including processing computers and network switches used in commercial and military aircraft.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM field obtained by start date.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
• Knowledge of digital circuit design parameters, computer hardware components and interfaces is preferred.

Responsibilities

• You will use and apply electrical engineering principles and techniques to design, develop, document, verify, support, and troubleshoot digital hardware for avionics products.
• You will work closely with Systems, Software, Mechanical, Environmental Effects Engineering, Manufacturing / Operations, and Design‑to‑Cost (DTC) staff to assure defined requirements are consistently met in all phases of a product's lifecycle.
• You will work on designs that include the use of digital logic (ASIC/FPGA/CPLD), processors, and various memory technologies.
• You will support current production issues if the need arises.
