Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids is seeking an Electrical Engineering Co-op to contribute to the development of digital hardware circuit boards for new avionics products. You will support the Avionics Network Hardware team with design, testing and obsolescence management, gaining hands-on experience on real-world hardware.

The role runs January–July/August, onsite, with potential involvement in product recertification and cost-saving initiatives, offering mentorship and exposure to cutting-edge

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Must have a minimum of 30 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate and test Circuit Card Assemblies for Avionics Computers (Processors, FPGAs, Memory, high-speed interfaces).
• Operate lab equipment to perform integration testing on hardware designs.
• Schematic capture of digital/analog mixed signal electrical circuit designs.
