Job summary

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in electrical engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Advanced degree in electrical engineering is preferred.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with military or DoW civil service is beneficial.
• Experience with nuclear-focused programs is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% to DoW installation locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed analyses on power transmission and distribution to inform design decisions.
• Develop functional requirements and test procedures for electrical power systems.
• Coordinate testing activities with fellow engineers.
• Mentor junior engineers and technical personnel.
• Oversee design and maintenance of high-risk electrical systems operations.
• Direct and execute the application design, setup, and operation of high power equipment.
