Job summary

Logos Space, a pioneering satellite connectivity company, is seeking an Electrical Engineer - Digital to join the avionics team. You will own the electrical design of flight avionics, perform analyses, develop test procedures, and drive hardware from concept to flight.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in electrical design, experience with high-speed interfaces, PCB design in Altium, and hands-on test equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or STEM field with relevant electrical design and analysis work experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience in electrical design and analysis.
• 3+ years of experience with signal/power integrity tools like Ansys SIwave, HyperLynx.
• Experience with high-speed digital interfaces (e.g., DDR4/DDR5, 1G/10G Ethernet).
• Experience with communication circuits (e.g. ethernet, RS422/RS485, CAN, SPI)
• Experience with worst case analysis (Monte Carlo) and parts stress analysis
• Proven track record of working with PCB design software such as Altium
• Strong understanding of parts derating and failure mode evaluation
• Experience with test hardware (oscilloscopes, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, etc.)
• Proven track record of working with electrical hardware systems through the entire product life cycle
• Working with contract manufacturers to build, troubleshoot and test PCBAs
• Self-motivated with strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall electrical design (component selection, PCB design, etc.) and analysis of flight avionics hardware
• Perform nominal and worst case analysis scenarios across applicable phases of hardware development
• Own product delivery timeline through entire lifecycle (design, development, prototyping, production build, system integration, and on-orbit operations)
• Generate and release technical drawings, specifications, test procedures, and reports in support of the hardware design and validation.
