Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer to coordinate and deliver electrical design for federal facilities. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, ensure accuracy and timeliness, and contribute to design development in a hybrid office environment.

The role requires a BSEE, at least 5 years of electrical design experience, and proficiency in REVIT. Travel to overseas and US locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors’ Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) is required.
• Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas clearly in writing and in person.
• Overseas & US-based travel may be required.
• Proficiency in REVIT is required.

Responsibilities

• Act as Designer of Record (DOR) for electrical design projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
• Lead information gathering, stakeholder interviews, calculations, and rough layouts.
• Present findings to clients and stakeholders.
• Perform high-level tasks using defined standards and codes.
• Assist project designers and architects with material selection and system research.
• Design and perform calculations for lighting and controls.
• Prepare load analyses and document energy compliance forms.
• Support construction administration and field investigations, including RFI and change orders.
