Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks an electrical engineer to join the Energetic Threats and Training team onsite in New Mexico. You will design high/low voltage circuits, lead R&D efforts, and develop solid state training aids for national security applications.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, can obtain a DOE Q clearance, and bring hands-on experience with electrical design, 3D modeling, and systems integration. This role requires onsite work and some travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline.
• Active DOE Q clearance or equivalent required to start.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high and low voltage circuits.
• Lead and conduct R&D efforts to advance organizational capabilities.
• Research and develop electronic systems and solid-state training aids.
• Analyze electrical processes and improve throughput.
• Supervise and coordinate R&D efforts of a small team as Technical Lead.
