Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five (5) years of directly relevant experience, or an equivalent combination
• Current DOE Q clearance or equivalent required to start.
• Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develops and leads strategic directions for directed energy programs
• Interfaces with government, industry partners, and internal teams to drive innovation
• Leads high-impact projects and oversees funding opportunities and proposals
• Translates research into operational capabilities for national security missions
• Oversees multi-million dollar project acquisitions and transitions technologies to warfighter use
• Collaborates across Sandia to leverage lab-wide expertise in directed energy
