Job summary

APSI Construction Management seeks a Construction Manager- Electrical Engineer (CM-EE) to support VA hospital projects in the Montgomery area. The role requires a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and a minimum of six years' experience in design and construction, with medical facilities experience a plus.

Strong planning, scheduling, QA/QC, and commissioning oversight are essential. Responsibilities include supporting the Contracting Officer and COR, managing budgets and change orders,

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from an accredited school.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in design and construction, with medical facilities experience a plus.
• Ability to understand local state and federal jurisdiction requirements.
• Knowledge of construction contracts, drawings, and commissioning processes.
• Strong communication and software skills to support project oversight.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction management support during design and construction phases.
• Assist the Contracting Officer and COR with project management, planning, scheduling, design reviews, testing, quality control/assurance, and documentation.
• Attend and/or conduct weekly project meetings and monitor contractor payment requirements.
• Maintain records, budgets, change orders, and cost accounting; assist in issue resolution.
• Coordinate commissioning, testing services, and closeout submittals; ensure compliance with codes and standards.
