Job summary

WTEC Energy Corp. in Florida seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to assist with plant layout drawings, schematics, and electrical diagrams. You will assess project requirements, measure performance of mechanical components, and modify equipment using CAD/modeling software to ensure safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include load-flow and arc-flash studies, cable sizing, BOMs, and supporting estimating and manufacturing teams. Travel to company facilities is required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree is required.
• Familiar with CAD drafting.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, along with suitable technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of electrical design plant layout drawings and one-line and three-line drawings, and schematic diagrams.
• Assess project requirements.
• Measure the performance of mechanical components, devices, and engines.
• Maintain and modify equipment to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency using CAD/modeling software.
• Prepare load flow, short circuit arc-flash, and cable sizing studies; create equipment fabrication drawings and BOMs.
• Support estimating and bidding with engineering support and manufacturing divisions on product development.
• Site supervision and handling customers concerns.
