Job summary

WTEC Energy Corp. is seeking an engineer to assist in electrical design, create plant layout drawings and schematics, and ensure equipment safety and efficiency. You will work with CAD tools to support design efforts and travel to company facilities as needed.

The role requires an engineering degree, familiarity with CAD drafting, and a minimum of two years of experience, with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing electrical design plant layouts, and one-/three-line drawings and schematics.
• Assess project requirements.
• Measure performance of mechanical components, devices, and engines.
• Maintain and modify equipment for safety, reliability, and efficiency using CAD tools.
• Prepare load flow, short circuit arc-flash, and cable sizing studies, BOMs, calculations, manuals, etc.
• Support estimating and bidding with engineering input for product development.
• Site supervision and addressing customer concerns.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the preparation of electrical design plant layout drawings and one-line and three line drawings, and schematic diagrams
• Assess project requirements
• Measure the performance of mechanical components, devices, and engines
• Maintain and Modify equipment to ensure that it is safe, reliable, and efficient using computer-aided design/modeling software
• Prepare load flow, short circuit arc-flash, and cable sizing studies, Equipment fabrication drawings, bills of material, calculations, manuals, etc.
• Support estimating and bidding with engineering support and support manufacturing divisions on product development.
• Site supervision and handling customers concerns.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

• Engineering degree is required
