Job summary

Actalent is seeking a CAD Drafter in Tampa, FL to produce precise technical drawings and schematics for major electric delivery projects. You will work closely with engineering, construction, and project management teams to ensure designs meet specifications and are documented with proper version control.

Responsibilities include drafting with AutoCAD, updating drawings as designs evolve, and supporting the ECPM team on capital projects across transmission, substation, and distribution.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in drafting, architecture, or civil engineering.
• Experience in drafting for construction or engineering projects.
• Familiarity with drafting standards and document control.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate and detailed technical drawings and schematics for construction and engineering projects using AutoCAD and related tools.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to translate design concepts into CAD drawings.
• Update and revise drawings as project requirements evolve with proper version control.
• Support the ECPM team with drafting needs for major capital projects in transmission, substation, and distribution.
• Oversee and apply drafting standards to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Coordinate drafting activities across departments to ensure smooth information flow.
