Job summary

Tampa Electric Company is seeking a CAD Drafter to create and maintain distribution drawings and standards for its electric distribution system. The role supports engineering design and construction while prioritizing safety and reliability.

Responsibilities include updating manuals, reviewing markups, and ensuring compliance with NESC and internal deadlines. A CAD qualification and 3 years of experience are required, with the potential for growth within TECO’s engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Design (CAD) or CAD drafting certification.
• 3 years of experience using standard drafting tools such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation; familiarity with Bentley/Software Suite preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create, revise, maintain, and archive distributions drawings and standards (DETM, GRS, TEMS, AMC).
• Review redlines and markups to update drawings and standards promptly.
• Ensure designs comply with codes including the NESC and meet deadlines from internal forums.
