Job summary

We Energies in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an Electrical CAD Drafter to join our team. You will create and revise electrical drawings, support field personnel, and maintain drawing records while coordinating project tasks with a multidisciplinary group.

The role requires CAD drafting experience, a technical degree, and the ability to work on-site. You will interact with engineers, vendors, and customers to ensure accurate, up-to-date drawings and documentation.

Qualifications

• One semester of algebra and geometry at the vocational or college level OR a two-year degree in Electrical, Civil, or Architectural engineering.
• Two years of current CAD drafting experience within the last five years OR one year of CAD drafting coursework plus one year of current CAD drafting experience.

Responsibilities

• Create new drawings from sketches, photos, markups, site visits, and discussions with engineers and field personnel.
• Revise existing drawings and identify related drawings to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Provide on-site drafting support by visiting work sites and acting as drafting lead on projects.
• Maintain drawing record system by coding new drawings and updating TRACE system.
• Coordinate drafting tasks within a project team and provide feedback to leaders.
