Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.
• 3–5 years of post-education electrical engineering or design experience.
• Engineer in Training Certification.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, design/build, and permitting processes.
• Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management.
• Ability to coordinate with regulators and understand requirements.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Collect, compile, and analyze data related to substation components, equipment specs, and procurement pricing.
• Review third‑party design documents and project plans.
• Design single line and three‑line diagrams, general arrangements, and bus layouts.
• Incorporate future-ready design concepts and equipment sizing strategies.
• Support senior engineers with research and recommendations on components and field equipment.
• Develop electrical calculations for loads, feeder sizing, grounding, and lighting controls.
• Prepare data visualizations, reports, sketches, and calculations for presentations.
