Arup in Houston is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team. If you are an electrical engineer who wants to take the next step in their career and continue to grow as an engineer on projects, this is the role for you!

Design electrical systems for buildings, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and deliver comprehensive, coordinated design deliverables while focusing on sustainability and resilience across healthcare, data centers and more.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical, architectural, building services engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5 years designing electrical systems for buildings.
Familiarity with local codes and standards.

Responsibilities

Design electrical systems for buildings including power, lighting, fire alarm, grounding and bonding.
Perform electrical calculations: demand load, short circuit, voltage drop, photometrics.
Coordinate with multiple disciplines and project managers to deliver drawings and specs.
Support client relations and project delivery.
Prepare drawings, specifications, and technical reports with sustainable design methods.
Review RFIs and submittals; perform construction administration.
