Job summary

Arup is seeking an Electrical Engineer for our Houston and Austin offices to design electrical systems for healthcare, data centers, and commercial buildings. You will engage with multi-disciplinary teams, perform detailed electrical calculations, and coordinate with project managers to deliver high-quality design deliverables.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in electrical/building services engineering and at least 5 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, architectural, building services engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience designing electrical systems for buildings.
• Familiarity with local codes and standards; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for buildings including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm.
• Perform electrical calculations: load, short circuit, voltage drop, photometrics.
• Coordinate with disciplines and track deliverables with project managers.
• Review RFIs, submittals and provide construction administration support.
