Job summary

Pure Power is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and produce construction documents for utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage (BESS) projects of 50 MW and larger. This Kansas City area role offers a hybrid in-office/remote schedule and a chance to contribute to industry-leading renewable energy projects.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 1–3 years of relevant experience, with exposure to AutoCAD and NEC concepts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
1-3 years of electrical engineering experience in solar PV or renewable energy.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and creating construction documents.
Basic NEC knowledge and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

Design utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects under senior engineers.
Prepare single-line and three-line diagrams and layouts.
Size and route medium-voltage cables; design grounding and protection.
Create construction drawing packages in AutoCAD and support client communications.
Assist during construction with RFIs and submittals and QA/QC checks.
