Job summary

Kymera International is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, maintain, troubleshoot and continuously improve electrical systems in a heavy manufacturing setting. You will support plant uptime, lead capital projects and work with PLC/HMI/SCADA to optimize automated processes.

Responsibilities include developing electrical drawings, resolving electrical issues, ensuring NEC/OSHA compliance, and driving improvements in energy efficiency and equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 2 years in heavy manufacturing, industrial, or process environments.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and controls.
• Experience with PLC systems (Siemens, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley).
• Familiarity with VFDs, motors, and control systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in industrial environments.
• Direct experience within a melt or metal powder environment.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support design, maintenance, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of electrical systems.
• Operate and optimize plant electrical systems and equipment to maximize uptime.
• Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues affecting production and facilities.
• Design, modify and improve electrical systems including power distribution and automation equipment.
• Lead capital projects including equipment upgrades, installations and commissioning.
• Develop and maintain electrical drawings, schematics and technical docs.
• Work with PLC, HMI and SCADA systems to support automated processes.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
• Conduct root cause analysis on electrical failures and implement corrective actions.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance for critical assets.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA 70 (NEC) and OSHA; follow EHS policies.
• Generate SOPs and documents; align with quality systems.
